Something I've been working on for the last two days. I learnt a few new techniques in Vue in order to complete it too.

Done in Vue 6 Infinite and Photoshop CS3.

Comments and Favourites welcome as always.

Update: I spent the last week reworking and fixing up the original which can be found in my scraps: [link]

I tried to improve on the lighting, water, house, and overall quality. I also rendered the base image at 2560x1600, so I had a decent resolution to work with this time.

The water's edge looks fantastic :clap: the clouds are nice and detailed too :)

I love the water and the clouds... my only "beef", so to speak, is that the trees don't look all that realistic.

Other then that, its a fantastic piece. Well done :)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't really want to plough down half of them though since it would have looked too bare. :P

Very true, and of course, it would've been very time consuming to render all those trees all over again! :P

Psh, seriously. Usually things are faster, but this scene was taking a good 16-20 hours or more render time.
Including all the sections which I had to re-render this week after rendering the main/base image, my PC was literally rendering for the majority of the week.

It doesn't help that half my ram died either. :(

That really sucks! But RAM is pretty cheap these days, getting it replaced won't cost too much... but still, sucks it had to go out when you were working on this! :(
